Mission

From a faith-inspired perspective, JASCNET engages with African governments, other relevant international bodies like the African Union and the European Union (EU) and regional intergovernmental bodies in order to help promote justice for all, sustainable development and the integrity of creation through research, education, advocacy and consultation.

As JASCNET, we firmly believe that it is possible to take action to promote justice and human rights from all the structures that make up society. Therefore, we work in order to raise the awareness of the media, policy makers, business houses and the general public regarding the inequalities and global challenges affecting Africa. It is important that we all feel we are part of the solution and we work to bring all on board to make a difference for humanity.

Structure

JASCNET governance is structured as follows:

Jesuit Conference for Africa and Madagascar, which acts like a Board, the Secretariat and member organisations

The JASCNET policy positions are carried out through five Thematic Working Groups, namely:

1. Leadership and Governance

2. Alternative Development

3. Peace and Security

4. Corporate Accountability

5. Tax Justice and

6. Climate Justice
